DeTonty Place
New Residential Development
Shaw Neighborhood

Construction expected to start: Summer 2006
Expected completion: late 2006-early 2007

$350,000*

This new development, located just south of Interstate 44 will transform the corridor into a flattering example of urban living, providing the density to create a neighborhood along with the safety, convenience and desireablity of a small community.

Seventeen north-facing single-family homes will be built on 32’x135’ lots, offering large back yards with wood privacy fencing and low-maintenance landscaping.

To compliment the existing fabric of the neighborhood, each home will be two to three stories with brick on all sides. Hip, gable, and dormer roofs will be mixed with square and rounded windows to make each home unique, while fitting into its historic surroundings.

Various brick ornamentation will be added to the street-facing facades for variety and character. Front porch styles will vary from traditional square porches to those running the full width of the structure.

Each home will be approximately 1,700 square feet with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. Basements will be 9’ with egress, so an additional bedroom could be added. As an added option, the third floor space could be finished to add an additional 500 square feet of living space.

The first floor will consist of a foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, half bath, and laundry. The second floor will consist of a master bedroom and master bath, two bedrooms and an additional full bath. Alternate floor plans will be available.
